Finding good deals on a bathroom light is easy, but finding the one that is going to look the best in there is a bit tougher.  There are literally thousands of different choices, and only a handful are going to look right and be within your budget.  How do you determine which is the best?  Read on and you’ll find out!

The first step to all of this is to figure out what you want your bathroom to ultimately look like.  You can spend time looking through interior design magazines or watching home improvement shows on TV.  The trick is to write a note or clip out a picture every time you see something that you like.  Our brains don’t work very well, and probably won’t remind you of the light that liked from XYZ show three weeks ago when you’re at Home Depot.

After you have a rough idea of the style that you’re looking for, start figuring out how to apply that style to your bathroom.  This might mean that you start buying all of the accessories like shower curtains, towels, rugs, and whatnot before you go light shopping.  Having that stuff in there will make your decision much easier because you’ll have something concrete to compare it against.  When shopping for the bathroom light fixtures, bring a picture or two of your bathroom along so that you can get a good idea of what the light that you’re staring it will look in your actual bathroom.  Again, don’t rely on your brain for this!

If you’ve followed the steps leading up to this point you’re going to have bathroom lighting that not only accents your bathroom, but actually makes it noticeably better.  It’s easier to get a light that works with your design that it is to put together a design that works with the light!
